Vic Ruggiero is dope, and his story telling abilities unmatched. Listen to his solo stuff, also very cool.

I show this video to some Jamaican guys I work with and they laugh their asses off when they hear Vic say "dumpy" lol. They say it makes sense because a lot of Jamaican people are superstitious.

@ktc311 I think his point is that violence is so common that a gruesome event like such can be told as a humorous anecdote.

Yea,Vic Jamaica gave me a wakeup call in 08` when i went there and decided
upon myself to take a walk outside the
resort like WHOA!!! i thought i was get
shot instantly feelin the bad vibes.
Some clown comes up to me to tell me
where i could go for fun and he could show me.I said," Heck no my brother. " I wouldn`t be here today if i would have accepted the request i bet.

I could listen to this dude all day :)

The USA is chalk full of violence too, everywhere, and in it's major cities so what's your point?
There's violence and petty crime(lots of tourists get robbed in France and Italy) so I'm not getting why you're talking about Jamaica in particular?
-
its not a fake story bro...jamaica is full of violence and when you are brought up around violence you arent afraid of it like americans are. jamaica isnt the peaceful utopia where everyone is irie all the time like most people think it is.

he chalk full of great stories. Spend a night around him, he's a great guy..
-
Man, I heard real accounts of police raids were alot of innocent people get riddled when cops came and stormed a building. In Jamaica shit happens man.
-
hahaha you didnt get it rtard. The bizarre relationship to violence is reflected in the story by a jamiacan. its not true. it is a joke.
Hey, I hope you enjoyed the documentary.
If anyone hasn't seen it yet- check out my videos for the trailer.
It should be available for purchase online soon. Keep checking the Slackers website.

I did indeed enjoy it. It's got some issues here and there like Ara is suddenly there and there's no mention of where he came from and where Luis went, but it's still cool.
