Because somewhere in the mid 1990s someone thought the word Extreme should go into everything from shirts to cartoons on tv. Ex: Extreme Ghostbusters, Extreme Doritios etc.

  • Why most of 1990's commercials had people screaming ?

  • Wow Prodigy was my first internet company. Their were the best. When i got my fisrt pc from compusa, you could get 400 dollars off by signing up for prodigy or america online everyone that worked in the store said to go with prodigy. They created the internet portal. You could chat.. join message boards anything right from the homepage. I remember when they got dsl. I was in heaven. Those early internet days in the eary 90's were the best. I miss those days. Internet is filled with crap now.

  • This might be one of the most annoying commercials I've ever seen.

  • ohh... Barry!! :D

  • I was in this commercial when i was like 10 yrs old (the little black kid with dreads) but maybe because of the resolution i could'nt see myself?

  • I tried to install Prodigy on my XT around 1990. It was my first computer and only had monochrome text graphics. I couldn't figure out why Prodigy wouldn't run. I was only 7, that's my only excuse.

The kicker is that it came as part of a modem package we bought at Costco. I think it was a 9600baud modem and we probably paid around $100 for it.

At least I was able to do text BBSes.

  • there was a different one with hippies.

  • I remember Prodigy also.... didn't Yahoo partner up with AT&T, and bought them out of existance?

  • I had prodigy!
