Yeah Julia Davis IS a genius - the BBC just didn't have the balls to commission her sitcom with Jessica Hynes.

What really makes this work is how realistically low key the police response is at the end. No bashing down doors, no machine gun toting SWAT team, probably just a couple of officers escorting a very sick lady into the back of a car.
