  • @ThomasMin1988  Its HSP70 not hsc its too do with heat. heat shock proteins and the 70 is kilodaltans.

  • @ThomasMin1988 Yes, they preventthe folding before the protein enters in the mitochondrion. =)

  • thanks a lot! one question though... in my lecture the docent told us that there are also cystolic chaperons called hsc70 that interact with the protein befor it binds on the mitochondrial receptor... what functions do this chaperons have? may they prevent the folding of the protein in the cystol?
