Delta 922 landing on LaGuardia 22 after a rough flight from Atlanta,GA. Taken from seat 39A on N630DL. You can see the pilot sliding to the left fighting the crosswind, and slamming on the brakes, all at the same time. During the announcements, you can hear the brakes squeaking due to the amount of braking needed to stop on the short runway at LaGuardia. 5/11/2008

  • i must say rather neat video. trust me. laguardias runway is not short compared to the john wayne airport in OC california. the runway length there is only 5700 ft. and they fly in 757's too.

  • yeah, laguardias runways are big enough to fly 767's in and out regularly, so i guess 757s are not that big of a problem

  • @N605JB do 767 even land at LGA? I live in NY and never seen a 767 at LGA

  • @P8NTBALL60 Delta used to fly them in. I dont think anybody does anymore.

  • i landed in LGA on Song once an the flight attendant came on before we were slow on the runway and he said "Welcome to LaGuardia" and paused when the captain slammed on the brakes and then continued "where there are very short runways" that got a laugh outta a few people

  • wow steep descent at beginning

  • @N605JB DL,AA, and even AC regularly sub 76's into LGA. Back in the day, it was very common to see DC 10's, L1011's, and A300's regularly scheduled into LGA.

  • @P8NTBALL60 Delta used to fly them in regularly

  • Old 727 donald trump

  • Donald trump

  • Donald trumps old 727 yeaaahha

  • @N605JB I live across the street from Long Island Macarthur (ISP), which has the same length runway as La Guardia (6999 feet). I wish more airlines would start flying here, all i get to see is Southwest's 737-700's.

  • @hbcrazyman Love John Wayne!

  • That's weremi learned how to swim :)

  • So nice next time I visit NY I will make a flight from LGA.
