Just for a bit of background on this rocket. There was only ever one real Atlas C Able built, but it destroyed itself on the pad during a static test firing. Its successor, the Atlas D Able was another poorly designed rocket that failed all of its four missions. Apparently, the tall and thin Able stage didn't comply with the ultra-thin skin on he Atlas and was saved for the smaller Thor IRBM.
