David Mitchell's Soapbox and more @ http://www.channelflip.com/

David has his say on the rationale of the gift-giving ritual, from ill-fitting jumpers to duplicate copies of the Bonesetter's daughter, the whole system is hideously inefficient.

  • What's the difference between Kerry Katona and a Twix? You only get two fingers in a Twix.

(Originally it was Joan Collins, but I've updated it for you young folks.)

  • @Natalie52 I didn't until you notified me. Holy shit!

  • Don't look a gift horse in the mouth... straight from the horse's mouth

  • This is brilliant. See, "it's the thought that counts" is the reason I often draw/paint portraits of people (or, if they're not narsissistic enough to want to have a portrait of themselves, I ask them what they'd want to hang on their wall) for their birthdays... That and I have the budget managing skills of a drunken orangutan who has a massive craving for bananas, which causes me to end up broke exactly when I remember someones birthday is coming up.

  • @FreindlyRanger What's the difference between a baby and a bowling ball?......

  • Hard Times reference = ♥

  • I want the Booker shortlist now. Damnit Michell. I have enough books that I'm too lazy to start reading.

  • I think the visual pun at the start of this episode is brilliant, though I probably disagree with everything said in it. Such is life, I guess.

  • This is actually a brilliant idea.

  • @122172639 False. That would be duologue. the 'dia' in dialogue is greek for 'across' or 'through'. A dialogue can be between as many people as you like.
