Having never taken a duduk lesson in my life and playing it in ZED 380 times a year-I'm putting out a duduk video with the hopes of getting some feedback from my musician friends who have more familiarity with the Armenian duduk. This was recorded in the stairwell at Cirque Du Soleil ZED about half an hour after the show was over. I have mainly played a mix of jewish and eastern european styles on various other woodwinds but I do not profess to have really studied any other styles besides some Bulgarian, Romanian and Jewish styles.
All I know is they asked me to play it in the show-I'd never played it before-and it works. This video is part of a process of hopefully getting better on this instrument.
Very well played. Praises from a Turkish bassoon player. :)

Hello, I've ordered a duduk, and have never played one..How do you play it? What is the method for making sound? ..and do you do anything special with your mouth to play it? You make it look easy, and you sound good!
