Chief Justice Renato Corona's Statement of Liabilities, Assets and Net worth (SALN) cannot be released to the public due to a Supreme Court regulation, according to a report on GMA News' "24 Oras." Members of the prosecution team in Corona's impeachment trial urged him to disclose his SALN in light of the Chief Justice's questionable 2009 purchase of a condominium unit at The Bellagio in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Corona insists that he purchased the condominium unit legitimately and declared it in his SALN, but this cannot be confirmed because the document remains confidential. Corona last disclosed his SALN in 2002, when he was the presidential adviser and chief of staff of then President Gloria Arroyo. His last SALN showed that the Chief Justice had a net worth of P13.9 million. The prosecution team questioned the legitimacy of Corona's transaction, pointing out that the Chief Justice earns a basic salary of P100,011 per month while the condo unit cost P14.5 million, based on the deed of sale. "Meron bang enough resources from legitimate sources si Chief Justice Corona na bumili ng properties?" Rep. Neil Tupas, House chief prosecutor, said in the report. GMA News asked for a response from Corona's lawyer, Justice Serafin Cuevas, but the latter said he is busy preparing for Corona's defense. In an earlier interview, SC spokesman Atty. Corona is gradually being exposed as a voracious wolf in a sheep's clothing. I don't care about the defense tactics but what I don't understand is the stupity of so many Filipinos who do not know what is good for them. And I found out that only now, the Filipinos can post unquotable epithets for the elected President. Definitely using this kind of language would be risky if we are in Marcos reign.

@Lovechie4life Hey watch your mouth! If you're not paying attention to day 4's trial, . 12 certified copies of condo titles in Taguig were submitted. That's not even counting Marikina, Quezon City etc. A chief justice only worth P22 mil in 2010? Sinong niloloko niya? He included a 2004 condo in his 2010 SALN but not 2005 to 2009. Vidal testified these SALNs are manually registered. Looks like pahabol pa after CJ was questioned. He may have submitted all his SALN but are they true? To be cont'd

If Corona makes P100,011/month=P1.2Mil/ year, how did he pay for those 45 properties in 9 years? They can't be all parking spots. 5 properties with 10 parking spots lol..Let me guess his SALN since he will not disclose it. I'm guessing he's worth at least P150 mil. Like GMA, like CJ.
