I'm watching this video because I saw her TED talk on "The secret structure of great talks", November 2011. I found her quite insightful. I would definitely recommend anyone to also watch it.

Kind of dry, and a little bit slow. For a presentation on how to make your presentations more exciting it's not that exciting.

Animations are most probably done in Apple Keynote but can be easily done in Powerpoint 07 and higher. But most of the graphics are definitely composite outside PPT, with a program like Photoshop or something similar.
