Singing with David Archuleta! - "Somethin 'Bout love" - Isaiah Antonio

Singing "Somethin' 'Bout Love" with David Archuleta! well.. he only sang a few lines even though i told him to sing with me. haha! but it was such an honor to be able to share my talent with him. he was really nice in person. and very humble. he didnt even wanna sing coz he didnt wanna be the center of attention! i respect him for that. although i really wanted him to sing. haha!

and to all of you who asked me how i met David. its coz he came here to the Philippines to shoot a series called "Nandito Ako", where he plays the main character. It just so happened that the production people chose our Salon (SALON DE MANILA) to do his hair and make up for his entire stay here. Since my aunt, PIN ANTONIO, is the leader of the team and the best hairstylist in the country, i came along and somehow david and his manager found out i sing. they then convinced me to let them hear. :)

Isaiah, it started a bit rough (off key?) but you recovered quickly and finished well. You can see David a bit nervous at the beginning but looking a lot more relaxed at the end. I think he was worried about having to say something negative because he is so honest. Fortunately, you ended great.You really nailed the high notes. Maybe you can convince David to do a real duet with you. I suggest Elevator. He often sings it accompanied by guitar alone.

@kiulin yeah, i admit i started of really bad. some of you dont notice, but i even made some mistakes in the guitar. but it was coz i was SOOOOO nervous. but got over it after a few lines. :)) but yeah, thanks!!!

@Realupside amen. singing david's songs, no matter what key, is difficult because of how he transitions from his upper and lower registers with such natural ease and beauty. not to mention how he always sings his song's choruses where my break usually is (F4-F#4) so it can be a REAL challenge sometimes unless you've developed your mixed voice. but they're great to sing if you want to improve, 'cause david has great technique.
