Christmas Comes but Once a Year (Remix) ft. Grampy

This year I decided to open the vault of Christmas themed pieces I've put together over the years. This piece from 2005 is a mash-up of a 1936 Max Fleischer cartoon titled "Christmas Comes but Once a Year" and the Chemical Brother's song "Get Yourself High." This video was part of a Holiday DVD project I developed titled Merry Xmas. The centralizing theme looked at Christmas through the eyes of a parallel universe. The pieces meshed traditional holiday icons and palettes with elements foreign to holiday lore. The result are visual pieces that create conflict by resonating with the viewer on one level while alienating them on another.
