Nowadays I play a Somerset S-1P.

I've been working on learning scales moreso than anything else recently. I've been going up and down the neck learning where the different notes are, and I've learned where all the major notes are. But on my banjo, from what I've learned, its a good idea to stick with the G- Major scale, and I know you use the F# instead of the F, but I never really understood why. With your explanation though, I now know why, and I also understand how scales actually work now. Thanks.

great video. . . in fact they are all great videos. what i really want to see, patrick, is some serious banjo shredding, face melting jams. lets see a video where you simply tear it up . . .more so than you already do.
