Exotic Cats Rescued from NC Cat Mill

A potentially dangerous situation was averted when the Davie County sheriff department and The HSUS's Animal Rescue Team helped save an African Serval cat and many other hybrid and domestic cats from a cat mill.

@Kidd8Kitty Thanks for wanting to help! They haven't been put to sleep - one group of them is still being held, as there is a dispute over ownership. The other cats have found homes, or placed with placement partners in the area. If you're interested, you can check out the Guilford Animal Shelter.

This is so heartbreaking to watch. I cannot even imagine what's running through these poor animals minds while being caged for probably their whole lives. Well thankfully hsus was able to rescue them from their misery there are still millions like them waiting for us around the world, which really breaks my heart. :(

breeding wild cats and dogs should be illegal, We have domestic cats already so why do we put these WILD animals through all this stress ?

Oh so we can have some "perfect", amazing looking cat...

@Travelwise65 Actually we work with our Emergency Placement Partners to help find homes for animals we rescued from cruelty and neglect. In this case, some are still being held while ownership is disputed. Others have been adopted, or placed with our placement partners to be put up for adoption.
