  • Quick question on the mesh/leather jackets like the Phoenix. Is it gonna flow just as much air as a full mesh jacket say from icon or Joe rocket? I live in the great state of Arizona in Phoenix where we see 100 degree weather most of the year, so I'm looking for the best flowing jacket without having to really sacrifice protection.

  • @abanda04 The qualifying factor is in the mesh construction, not the fact that it is partially leather. So for the REV'IT! Phoenix, the mesh is a Dynax mesh that is more protective, but does sacrifice some airflow. Check out the REV'IT! Tarmac Air jacket for the best airflow.

  • Hey Anthony, when you say you're wear a short on leather pants, how short is it exactly (How big is the difference between the standard and short version)? I tried on an Alpinestars Track Leather Short Pants and the placement of the knee armor and pant length is perfect (50 euro). Does Dainese offer these too?

  • @MAREMthenME Hi Mare, I am actually a 48 in most leather pants that have a tight Euro fit. I am not sure if I was speaking about my self, Joe or if I misspoke in the vid. My apologies for the confusion. I have a 32 waist and a 32 inseam. I'm 175 lbs. Each of the main euro brands is slightly different, but their size charts a should be spot on. If you are in between sizes, go to the size up! Let me know if I can help you further or give us a shout.

  • hey, isnt santa monica out of the market? (replaced by Delmar model)

  • @Drewcell The Santa Monica is current model Drew.

  • @CaneFu I know this is a year late, but... you obviously have never ridden in NorCal or in LA traffic. I come from the NorthEast and never wore a helmet or gear. Since moving to Cali, I always wear it. A lot of people drive like @#$%.

  • Im sure its nice but I can buy a bike for that money

  • Yeah these are really nice, but yeah lets build a lock into it so we can walk away from the bike and come back to a jacket locked to the bike.

  • Santa monica Jacket $799!!!!??? Does this jacket includes engine and wheels?

  • @CaneFu I hear ya Cane. These days though it seems like there are two schools of thought we see a lot. The first is yours - the second is the guy who looks like he is wearing track level protection at all times. You would be surprised what we see here in the North East with the BMW and other Euro bike crowd. Thanks for leaving a note! - Anthony

  • LOL - I don't know ANYONE that wears leathers in the summer despite what people post in these forums. This isn't reality. This kind of stuff is fine for cold weather only. Wearing this crap on the streets in the summer would take all the enjoyment out of riding and make it impossible to get off your bike and go inside a store - you would just look too ridiculous and be too hot. Honestly why even ride a motorcycle if you have to wear all this crap as it would just make a person miserably hot.
