My puppy Skeeter at 11 months playing the Bang Game on the teeter [I didn't call the video that because I was afraid it would attract the wrong kind of attention on You Tube :) ]
Skeeter has already had quite a few sessions on several different teeters. I started very low, and with a very sturdy, solid teeter on grass, moving to a sturdy teeter on a packed dirt surface. This teeter is very wobbly and noisy. It's sitting on concrete with a rubber pad at the bottom to lessen the noise a bit. I'll remove the rubber pad and lower the teeter again later after Skeeter is very comfortable at this current height and noise level.
Skeeter has some noise sensitivity, so I've really been spending a good deal of time getting her comfortable on noisy teeters. I want her to have a lot of experience with different teeters on different surfaces so that nothing surprises her when it comes to teeters.
I'm very happy seeing how her confidence on this teeter increases as this video progresses. She's very happy to try again once the teeter is raised a few inches. Although she is sensitive to noise, she is very resilient and is willing to come back and give it another try.
Great idea to make it into a game for her!
I'll try this with Jessie as she still occassionally reacts when the teeter drops behind her.
