some people seem to have difficulty with the way barbara sings this song, that's probably because they have been attuned to lots of pop singers who massacre a song with lots of screeching, puffing, ooh and yea - ing...barbara sings a song pure and like it should be sung..if this is constipated and under pitch then my hearing is gone and I certainly hope the angels sing under pitch and pinched...because this is just about way I want it to keep sounding forever!

@mmdillon1 she's 82. Most people would be blessed to have such a beautiful instrument minus the huge vibrato at that age. Bless her for continuing to share her gift with us.

She doesn't even come close to Mara Getz video from star Search...not even close..sorry...

I love Barabara Cook, and there's no sweeter, more generous lady around, but this performance is dreadful.... The upper register is strident and weak; ugly chest/head mixed "i" vowels (:37); choked vowels (1:02, 1:08); ugly 2nd syllable "i" diphthong w/ matching constipated expression (1:28) -- all in all, an unbearably screechy, pinched performance by a beautiful songbird who has been choosing material MUCH more wisely in recent years. This crystalline bell instrument wasn't designed for pop.

Uhhh, actually, no, I CAN'T. I jump over tall buildings. That other thing is Saturn Girls' gig.

The sublime Maureen McGovern got it!

I know it's tempting to concentrate on the glorious sound of Barbara's voice, but watch her interpret the lyrics and tell the story of this song. Of EVERY song! She's the consummate singer/actress, and no one -- NO ONE -- does it better!

i think she is the only one singer who can hit those wonderful high notes of McGovern!! She pulls it off so well!
