Aw! The teacher is so sweet. She should have told him in the end, like in the book, instead of her negligent, unobservant mother. This whole scene made me tear up though. :'(

@MissGoGetta96 Me too. But only b/c in the movie, the parents r much nicer. In the book, they were mean and pretty dark, especially the mom so of course she told the adult she trusted most, which was the art teacher. I personally like the book version of the art teacher more, for some reason, I didn't like the acting from this guy =[
