  • Current biofuel technology turns food into fuel, or is so unprofitable that it must have a government subsidy to survive. Some calculate the energy from biofuel is less than the energy to grow it because natural gas is turned into fertilizer required to grow the corn for American ethanol.

There could be a new generation of biofuel technology, but it may take an enormous amount of time and money to develop.

  • I think it would be better to use hydrogen engines in the cars.. those don´t produce contamination at all... biofuels are better than the actual used fuels but we have contaminated so much our planet that biofuels won't help us to repare all the damage caused to the environment, an alternative as the hydrogen engines would help

  • It takes time to change the in forge economy

  • Sounds easy, whats the catch? Why has this not taken off etc?

  • I'm taking a guess but if all used bio made plastics ect. Wouldn't that reduce the need for landfills because it's biodigradible.
