We often visit St. Pete Beach at sunset to see the awesome swath of color created by the setting sun across the Gulf of Mexico. Some evenings are absolutely breathtaking. In addition to the beaches, St. Pete Beach calls out to area residents to visit numerous restaurants which cater to both casual and upscale dining. It´s also a destination place for visiting specialty shops. Tourists find both luxury hotels, such as the DonCeSar and Tradewinds, and multiple mid-price range opportunities. The local residents have a wide variety of single family homes and condominiums to choose from. The intracoastal side of town offers both water and non-waterfront homes, all of which are within minutes of the beaches. The Gulf side contains multiple public beaches, a few single family homes, condominiums and commercial properties. Water views are available for everyone to enjoy! • We visited this place every Jan. and Feb. for about 5 yrs. straight right after our retirement. It was a wonderful place to be. My husband and I had plastic rafts which we floated on in the Gulf. I will forever cherish these memories. He would so enjoy watching this. I miss him terribly. He passed away before You Tube came into being. Thanks for showing this.

  • i'm movin to st. pete in a year I CAN'T WAIT!!!

  • I used to go there and metal detect in the water. I no longer go in the water due to the Corexit 9500 that BP dumped into the water. I will never go into the gulf water ever again. It is poison. People are getting sick due to the hydrogen sulfide gas being released from the oil and Corexit.

    I will miss Florida.

Attention all Northerners thinking about moving down here: You don't own a house down here....don't even bother......

The mortgage on the house I am living in has been paid off since 1982......
