  • Thank you thank you thank you for posting your beautiful and wonderful and enchanting film on Rome in 1955. I've been lucky to visit Rome several times since 1998 and I'm returning next month. I recognized almost every spot you shot - it truly is the eternal city - some things change but not too much in Rome - which is why I love it. Many people like me would LOVE to see ANY of your films ANYTIME! Going to post this on my blog, etc now. Thanks again!!!

  • . Thanks for your praise. Well, I have more than 720 video clips on YouTube, so prepare yourself! One clip shows our trip to Rome in 1955

  • Was it a honeymoon trip?

    .

    Just wondering.

    .

    Cheers.

    from,

    del-boy

  • No, I was on leave from a 6-year stay in Hong Kong en made a European trip with my mother and brother who had never been out of the country. I hardly ever showed the films I took during that trip to the public then, but nowadays there is an enormous wave of nostalgia and vids of those films are now being watched by tens of thousands of viewers all over the world!

  • See how Madura has changed in the course of 65 years! from loincloth till traffic congestion!

  • TRULY ASTONISHING!

    Greetings from Rome.

    Alessandro

  • Has it changed that much? Isn't it an eternal city?

  • roma mia quanto eri bella, ora sei diventata un centro sociale bleah però ti amo ogni giorno di più si scrive storia.............. SI LEGGE ROMA!!!!!!!.

  • Dear Michael, Thank you for your response. . All very good, glad to hear it; must have been amazing to witness when you were relatively young. . Note that nostalgia doesn't mean 2011, it means forever; you could give your film to a museum if you thought to, in your Will. . Thanks for posting. . . Cheers. form, del-boy.
  • Yes, it became Calcutta or Bombay more cars than human (Vinicio from Rome)

  • People has changed. Our state-of-mind is badly different.

No more "Dolce Vita" in Rome!

Mr Rogge, I have discovered today your very interesting Youtube's Channel. Congratulations!

    Sincerely,

    A
