The Thief and the Cobbler (1995) - Part 1 (HD)

Here it is, by request from aquelescaraaaaaaaaaa, The Thief and the Cobbler, released to USA theaters as Arabian Knight in 1995. This movie was released internationally in countries outside of the USA, referred as Princess and the Cobbler. This is the USA "Arabian Knight" cut released in 1995. Most people say this is an annoying Disney-like version (which is ironic, since Miramax at the time was a Disney subsidiary), with so many voice-overs that spread through the entire movie (no offense, "Ferris Bueller"). I recommend you see the "Recobbled cut" and the "Princess" cut from 1993, and you'll see how much is cut off (edited out) of this version. This movie transfer was taken from the Laser disc which thankfully preserved the widescreen transfer, which is beautiful, unlike the DVD, which is pan-and-scanned full screen (can I say, ughh!), and is presented here in stunning HD format.

I know to most that this version doesn't even come close to the recobbled cut but to be brutally honest, this is the version I know from my childhood and grew up with so I prefer it over the recobbled however I can really appreciate it.

Idk what people find so bad about this version. It's the version I grew up with. (true it's not the greatest) but it's actually decent. I've seen the recobbled version and i prefer this one more.

ah so i didn't forget the cobbler and thief could talk- i just grew up watching a different version- i dont mind either versions though but it is weird hearing the Cobbler talking when the voice actor is Simba- let alone the thief but meh, its nice to watch it again. So thanks for the upload

i can understand people defending underrated movies such as the animated LOTR and hell, even the 93' Mario Bros movie, but defending this is like defending Bin Laden for taking down the WTC,this is THE greatest tragedy of cinema history, and people defend it just because 'they grew up with it' just because you grew up with it, doesnt mean its a good movie, ok? this was a man's vision,he spent millions trying to make it,but it was all flushed away and you defend this POS? grow the fuck up people.
