ahahaha you guys are so funny. You title this video SDPD Sergeant: unprofessional, rude & ignorant of the law, but its you yourself being the rude one. Police officers can be rude, they will still get paid. This man dealt with a lot that night (the officer) and he is still keeping is cool fairly well. Why don't you try becoming an officer and you see how many stretch your patience.
hope you find something better to do in your life besides this

The penal code book in CA is over 1000 pages with hundreds of thousands of different laws and sections... this guy is a tool for thinking the cop is supposed to remember all of those. Freaking nerds trying to be all anti-authority for no reason other than getting some online nerd points.

I don't think these cops should be given any respect whatsoever.

@andysheepleton This way to the showers!!

@pettyofficer30 sorry buddy, but when your in public, there is no expectation of privacy. Police officers are PUBLIC servants, paid for by citizens. So, when your in public, no matter who you work for, you can/will/may be recorded and it's completley legal, as long as your not interferring, which this guy clearly is not.

Cop says 3 minutes of his life he cant get back.
Some people gets years in jail for police lying. So please officer...

It should be unlawful to record police! How would the "average" Joe feel about being recorded at work for bullshit he caused!
Holy smokes, this cop is extraordinarily tolerant and patient. He could easily have arrested you and sorted it out at the police precinct.
If you were certain you were right and he was wrong you could have simply stated that you believed that your understanding of the law was correct and that his was incorrect and that you were going to continue to do what you had been doing, understanding that if you were wrong you would be arrested.

@andysheepleton You're exactly right. And that's the problem -- a police officer for almost any reason can arrest any citizen that he doesn't like and throw him in jail.
If the charge is not valid, you'll get out & then he can do it again. Currently, there's almost no check on police conduct.
