What's great about wildflower seeds is that you really don't need to sow them in formal rows in raised beds like I do with my vegetables. There are a lot of creative ways to plant flowers in your yard, and one way is by making seed balls.

I appreciate the cute TV version of seed ball making, but first, fiber is unnecessary and so is the fancy kitchen. Clay seed balling is 8000 years old. Just get your kid out of the house and dig in your dirt and start making seed balls.

My opinion...this is an outdoors or garden shed kind of job, you dont want to be making a dust inside your living area and breathing in that dust in quantity. Try dampening the mixture as you go to keep the dust down and do it outdoors. Some high yield compost additives bought commercially can be toxic, so be careful. This is a nice idea though and great gift idea
