After all the Arrow III's and some congestion on the Nortbound side, the ALP-44 was forced to stop on the Northbound local track. Poor thing sat there for about 5 minutes.

  • I LOVE that grinding sound NJT Comets make. Note they always make that sound on electric sets but NEVER on diesel sets.

  • I never noticed that. This video was taken I remember of last year, on Valentine's Day, 2008.

  • did he overrun the signal?

  • Simply too many trains running into NYC. That station simply cannot contain THAT many trains in one sitting, thats why they are making four new tracks that are planned to open in 2017.

  • I was referring to the NJT train screeching to a halt. It looked like it slightly overshot the signal. Not NYP or the ARC project

  • I posted a response to what sorta went on. I don't thinki it overshot the signal, or at least from what I remember it didn't. This was shot over a year ago on Valentine's Day.

If anything, my take on why it haulted was one thing, congestion on the local track.
