Whether you're popping down the park for a run or embarking on a long train journey, you'll no doubt take your Apple iPhone and iPod with you - but with the standard earphones that come supplied with most media playing gadgets, there's every chance your favourite tunes will get drowned out by traffic and train noise. That's where's Etymotic's noise-isolating earbuds come in, sealing out disturbances from the outside world so you can enjoy your music in peace. Listen in as TechBuff's Darryl tries out the MC3, HF3 and ER4 earphones from Etymotic.

  • @jonnyj0987654321 Yes, very true. I also don't think it's that much of a bad thing that they didn't include the iPod controls on the ER4s. Clearly they are designed for professional use, normally through an amp of some sort other than an iPod's, so I don't think it was a necessary inclusion. Would have been nice, but like, I can understand if it's not there.

  • do the etymotic mc3 stick out of ur ear a lot?

  • @mjmets37 s4 when on sale

  • klipsch s4i or etymotic mc3??

  • Lol an iPod won't do ER4s or HF5s justice. I plugged my HF5s in to my desktop headphone amp and stuck on some King Creosote via a CD player and was honestly left speechless at the amount of detail these things put out. On an iPod without a headphone amp the sound is just so-so.

  • Does the Etymotic MC5 (same like MC3 but without the controls) work with any phones (motorla Defy??)

  • @TalesOfWar true say. I've compared my $150 sennhieser headphones- HD 438 and they sound as good if not better than the beats hd. But the beats are way more fancy, and I respect them for their structural design

  • @FakYbiGspiN The people who buy those kind of headphones tend to get the Beats by Dre series stuff. Those things sound abysmal for their price. VERY over emphasised bass that just kills the dynamic range. They'd be good if they charged a third of the price. Bose seem to be in the same category of "crappy for the price". I'm a Sennheiser guy myself. If I'm paying silly money for headphones, why get crappy ones?

  • @TalesOfWar sadly that is to true.

  • why does the 2nd last second not exist in any video?
