My friend Penny and her dance troop gave a demonstration outside the town hall in Chester. However, I'm disgruntled by being notified by Youtube that this video may include content that is owned or licensed by these content owners: WMG. And if they change their mind, I'll have to take my video off... Clever YouTube for checking for me... and they have probably let them know as well! A sad state of affairs...

  • Our group is Deva Flamenco performing a traditional gypsy dance for Chester's Roman Festival. Spanish dancers from Cadiz in Andalucia were famous for their dancing throughout the Roman Empire. We learned this dance from Sylvia Zalas. This is probably the style of dance that the "puellae gaditanae" - the girls from Cadiz - would have brought to Chester nearly 2000 years ago
