Also things I'm calling Gremlins for lack of knowledge. Enlighten me!
Surprisingly more new species than I thought there'd be. So is this game actually 'canon' with the Half-Life series? I mean, considering it was developed by Gearbox and not Valve...
@danielcdawson Regarding the HUD, I agree that the green makes it significantly less noticeable. It doesn't really help that I record the game in 1280x720 in windowed mode, thus my taskbar cuts off half of the health display across the bottom.

19:12 I ♥ box-pulling physics in GoldSrc. You'll be glad when you get to HL2 and you can just... *gasp* pick things up! :-) (Well, you've played Portal, right? Same mechanics.)
21:50 I think making the HUD that translucent green was a bad idea; it's hard to see. If you look at the video here, you can see your armor falling precipitously (and then your health like a rock) while you're touching the scientist, but you missed it at the time, obviously, because it didn't draw your attention at all.

@Kenny833 Haha, don't worry, you're not coming off as pretentious at all! Thanks for the info, I really enjoy hearing about and experiencing the stuff that happens in the Half-Life universe.
This "Race X" seems to add a kind of potentially unintended mystery to the whole scenario here, which is pretty neat!

The odd out of place aliens in Opposing Force are called collectively "Race X", and they are not canon to the rest of the Half-Life universe. Supposedly they attacked black mesa a few hours before Gordan was having fun in Xen. The gremlins you fought are called Pit Bulls, but gremlins seems appropriate anyway. :P Sorry if I come off as pretentious, I'm a bit of a half-life fan.
