Explosive Kettlebell Training

Within the last 1o years you've probably seen kettlebells popping up more and more in your commercial gyms. If you don't train at commercial gyms, I would guess that you even have a few kettlebells in your warehouse or garage gym.

The reason is quite simple. Kettlebells are an amazing tool. With their offset mass and versatility, kettlebell movements can range from simple to advanced and provide a variety of benefits.

One of which is developing lower body explosiveness in athletes.

Check out the original post for all of the information for the video.

  • i know im only young n'all but wouldnt some of those exersices be bad for my back as im still growing?

  • @GlitchyFish as long as your form is good, and your have good tension you will be fine. If you attempt these exercises and the form breaks down, choose an alternative.

  • Love the spiked swings, they're super killer.

  • great stuff smitty love kettlebells

  • That's kick ass training, simply the best

  • Thanks Smitty, I'm always looking for more stuff to do with a KB. Good stuff as always!

  • Front Squat + KB Power Bombs and DL's + KB Jumps are killer combos. Thanks Smitty.

  • Both look useful but seem to come too close to a certain piece of anatomy.

  • great stuff, if you're training alone you can also try to actively pull the kettlebell down on the eccentric portion. This happens almost automatically if you try to increase the # of swings in given time frame from workout to workout, ie increase the speed. Key thing is to maintain proper form, easy to mess up if you train alone. Smitty, ever try this with snatches?
