  • Here's the version we sing at my parish...

My soul, O my soul, arise! Why are you sleeping? The end is drawing near, and you will be confounded. Awake, then, and be watchful, that Christ our God may spare you, Who is everywhere present and fills all things.

  • I wish I could always have this playing in my head. It makes me cry and want to repent.

  • Thank you. This Canon is indeed one of our great Orthodox Treasures. If only we would all read this entire Canon every day of our life!! It is one of the best reminders and wake up calls to Repentance, which puts us back on the Path of Righteousness leading to Eternal Life in God's Heavenly Kingdom of Love. Glory to God for His Great Mercy and Love!

  • I love this hymn. Could you possibly paste the text of the Kontakion?
