Eric Havir with the Microsoft Surface team visited InterKnowlogy recently to see what they've been doing with Surface. Rodney Guzman of InterKnowlogy shows a demo of one interesting interaction created in XNA. It's a simple app that demonstrates how the virtual blocks can be interacted with hands and other real-world objects.
CokeSupply, this was just a tech demo. InterKnowlogy has a number of medical applications that assist in doctor to doctor and doctor to patient consultations.
The focus of Microsoft Surface is multiple user computing. People working together face-to-face where the technology aids in interaction. The large screen affords multiple people to work at the same time together, and aspects of the technology let it understand which side of the tabletop you are interacting from.
