do I have to beat the dough 3 minutes on high speed if I have a hand mixer? or should I double the time?

I wouldn't increase the speed. You may or may not have to knead it longer. I often make this dough by hand and I find the kneading time is not much longer than when I do it by machine.

After I add the eggs, I beat the dough for about two to three minutes on medium speed.
