This is a rap I wrote and recorded. I also did my own dancing. If you'd like lessons, I'd be glad to impart some of my natural talent.

This rap is not meant to be a comprehensive history of Western philosophy, as it is only five minutes long. It's simply a brief overview of the most important and influential figures in philosophy. Enjoy, comment, and get your groove on.

(By the way, I KNOW I pronounce Immanuel Kant's name improperly. I pronounced it that way just so I could make the joke at the end. So sue me.)

  • I loved the rap, but correct me if I'm wrong that the major point of Kierkegaard's philosophy was that empirical proof of God (so knowledge) and religion are indeed like fire and ice, but he maintained that you can acknowledge this and still believe by consciously taking a "leap of faith" that recognizes the lack of proof and because of this a believer must be blindly faithful and used this to rationalize his own Christianity? Again must give kudos though best philosophy rap I've seen yet

  • @producersfreak14 You are absolutely correct. Thank you for pointing that out!

  • I have seen a lot of things in my time, but that was AWESOME!!! Luke, this is brilliant.

  • @Passakris I humbly thank you, sir. It's simply an example of the benefits of a classical education. :)

  • I agree, great video! Live performance wasn't so bad either! :)

  • @MsAwesomeness16 Oh, well, thank you. Sorry I wasn't more prepared!
