Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome

Wolff-parkinson-white syndrome is due to accessory pathway between the atria and the ventricles causing a rapid depolarization of the ventricles leading to supraventricular tachycardia. The appearance of shortened P-R interval, widen QRS complex, and delta waves on EKG.

The animation shows how an extra, abnormal electrical pathway in the heart disrupts the normal timing of the heart's electrical signal, causing the atria and ventricles to beat too fast.
