Thanks for the well done vid! Totally new to the painting game and this was the first vid ive found that's done a great job of both describing this particular tech along with a great visual of the tech too! Thanks again!

I like glazing. I'm an intermediate painter and its a good technique and if done very well can be used for competition-like minis. Plus it's easy to learn. But it does take forever, but it's worth it! Wet-blending is much funner but its much harder cuz acrylics dry too fast even with retarder.

Nice stuff man!

@Eesoteric43 dont thin your paint too much... and if the skin is a large area, give it a rough basecoat first... use a brush with sturdy bristols to cover the model but also get the paint out the recesses...
if your painting a small area, do as obsidian says, use very little paint by wiping off the access paint on a paper towel... its a more controlled technique...

Interesting video but you gotta work on the Focus issues it really made me want to stop watching several times.

Great tutorial. Thank you. A bit of a headache though from the camera shake and focus issues.
I really dig the video and tech. question: What about when you're trying to paint an uneven surface? Example: I'm painting the AoBR Ork commander's skin my paint is thin but it tends to pool in the recesses, suggestions? Thanks

Like i say in all my videos, wipe your brush off on some paper towel. You want little to no paint on the brush. (thats what i'm doing here) Thanks for the question! :)

In the video where i basecoat the skin of the sanguinor, i use thin paint. the trick is, to remember to wipe it off before you apply it to the the model. even when doing a basecoat it's important to use thin paint. if the foundatino you are painting on is too thick, it will become to plasticy and the paint won't stick to it properly.

good example of feathering :)

@GirlPainting
Personally i would consider this glazing, however everyone learns things in different ways. To me feathering is applying paint, then bringing out the edge. But as i said, everyone learns things differently. Thanks though! I hope you stay tuned for the highlighting!
