Part 3 of the great pine mushroom scam.

World's Most Expensive Mushroom (Matsutake)

Please do not send email to this account. I am only the poster of this video. TC can be reached at firstchoicemushrooms@telus.net

We already know the pickers have struck out for 4-5 years now. Pickers will pick for pure pleasure alone. Unaware of the scam they are supporting. The brokers know this and are taking advantage. The buyers have to step up to the plate now. Do the right thing for everyone's future. Send the message to the monopoly. No more Matsi. Let's get people back into our communities supporting local business and enjoying our great outdoor's.

Cheers!

  • 10 bucks for 1s, was that for the first day of the season? nice ones.

  • No, this was mid season. The price was $2-3. Anytime they start popping well the price goes down to $1-2. The main excuse being that the market is flooded. It's all bs -the sad thing is people will give the greedy buyers and brokers this expensive renewable resource just for the fun of picking them. (not realizing the bigger picture)

  • i know this is really going to sound crazy, but with the companies out there making renewable fuel resources and when asked they want to compete with current fuel prices so they can make money off a renewable resource.have you seen if there are oils that can be extracted from mushrooms?it surely would be worth more than 1-2 dollars a pound if it were so.like i said i know it sounds far fetched but with thermal de-polymerization it might be an alternative?just trying to help with an idea.

  • dam i had no idea about this. How long will the shrooms keep after they are picked?

  • this is a good thing we need to support this, it was the same price in Oregon, 2-2 for ones and twos, and the buyers didn't buy the rest, it was a back breaking thing. let me know if anything we can do to suppoot you.
