  • That was a big explosion for that little car.

  • As corny as the movie looks, I have to admit.. its JUST like the cartoon.

Heck I was surprise how much the actor looked JUST LIKE speed from the cartoon !

Its amazing how they practically made a cartoon, with live actors in it !

  • 0:42 Oops! BOOM!

  • I watched this all the time as a kid & loved it. I remember my older brother pointing out that crashing cars don't make atomic-bomb type explosions like that..My favorite was maybe the "Mammoth Car" episode-- I remember my buddy and I in elementary school would start a "Mammoth" line, where all the boys would get together, our arms around each other's shoulders, & run thru the playground trampling everything and everyone in our path!! Just brought back that memory.. And I'm still a car guy!

  • @MABmovies The biggest explosion comes from the thiniest things....

  • My favorite cartoon as a kid! =D

  • I remeber when i was really little, me and all my friends raced home to watch this everyday.

This was the CARS of my day.

  • When Speed racer was around (late 60s early 70s) it was most certainly NOT called Anime, it wasn't until 20 years later when the art form was recognized as important. :-) Just like "rap music" was around decades before Run DMC and company.

  • Ha, "Go Mifuni," I never knew that, always knew hi as Speed Racer with family last name Racer. I knew however from research the M on the car and his helmet was to honor the great Japanese actor Toshiro Mifuni . Look up Seven Samurai by Akira Kurosawa. Mifuni in his day was Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in one person, and he was good enough to play Pro baseball but chose acting. He was born in China to Japanese parents and the creators of Speed Racer, the Japanese version honored him with the big M.

  • Go speed racer go!

  • instead of cartoon dont you mean anime?

  • I liked how in the movie thewy remixed the theme in between the film and at the end wit the words.
