if you hate the 2nd amendment, then you must hate the entire constitution.

Anyone and everyone can stage a revolution using their guns. Many have used guns to stage communist revolts and military coups.

Though this is true, it shouldn't be. We should be able to establish a consensus-based politics that isn't based on who has the most power. Whether we have guns is irrelevant - they shouldn't determine who 'makes rules'.

Although this is LaPierre's stated intentions, his comment here makes me think he fetishizes the wild west 'strongest takes all' system of power distribution.

His comment is very similar to a Mao quote - 'Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun'.
