  • oh cool im from wausau wi

  • @fordislife1 Waukesha, WI here!!

  • @1984SVOstang dude your info is wrong, 96 97 birds ran avg 15.7 now on the other hand 94 95 were 16.2. i own a 4.6....just sayin put $2000 in a s/c and it might easy do better than 14.6

  • @jlcohns We still have the time slips from when it was new.. It ran high 16's all stock.. Not sure where you got the $2k from, as the head swap cost us just over $1000.. Again, just doing a head swap on a S/C will not get you a second quicker.. Where you get it that the 94-95's being slower?? The have the exact drivetrain.. Even the remaned long blocks from ford use the same pt#..

  • i love thunderbirds very much, but these are a HUGE disappointment.U spent 5,000 in mods and only droped a second off your quarter 15.6-15.2 to 14.6 is shameful!! put 5000 in a soupacoupe in youll be in the 12's. please let me know when you see a 4.6 bird break into the13's....im still waiting.very sad...

  • @jlcohns all stock this car ran very high 16's@mid 80's mph.. That price included a full trans build by a professional trans builder!! That cost is about $2000 alone.. I want to see a S/C drop a full second with just a head swap!! Not going to happen!!

  • @horsevet20 @horsevet20 I'm not talking about that mark8 or mustang motor you put in your 4.6 bird. Stock block vs stock block. Sc is s#!+ing on the 4.6. Visit sccoa average sc bird runs high 11s best time 10.16. tccoa 4.6 supercharged average 12.4 best 10.7(with explorer motor) cheater. I own a 4.6 because I hate the bumble bee sound also, but if was serious about racing it would be the 3.8sc. One of best motors ever made for power, not so reliable.

  • @jlcohns haha what a retard, my MHS stage 2 heads and cam t bird runs 12.3's all day long, its also got a jmod, 4.30 gears, spent 600 bucks for car 2800 on top end, and 1000 bucks for a used transmission and getting a jmod done, 300 in rear right around 4900 with wheels and drag radials, i also rape sc on the street all day.4.6 tbirds are IMO a better choice for mods you can only get so much from a v6, and never get away from that shitty bumble bee sound.

  • Now put some 26's on it!!

just kidding man. Thanks for the video.. Ive been trying to decide on buying one of these or a 3rd generation firebird as a running project, I appreciate the big list of potential mods for this car.

  • im just saying $2000 in sc will leave your $5000 modded 4.6l. 96 97 are quiker you need to do some research, not the same 9495 have 3.08 9697 have 3.27 + larger intake. for racing buy you a sc or you would catch hell trying to gett into the 13's with 4.6l

  • @i8ate8 It was done with reflective tape be a local guy that does all the local police cars!! He did several of my trucks and some friends cars!!
