Nice vid dude. Refreshing not to see you doing donuts in front of your drunk 18 y o frat buddies at the local maccas. That just seems to be the norm on 'tube. Good to see that people still appreciate shifting for what it is, rather than how cool it can make them look.
Thanks for posting.

Back in the day that was known as a 4 on the floor, and the 5th.(whiskey) was kept under the seat.

@visualtonic I had my grandfathers Hq premeier for about 5 years but it was shot he had it since new and it was ready to die, but i drove it every day and kept it mechanical A1, the only reason i dont drive it now is because it finally got a defect notice it was rusted to hell but still went and still runs perfect, my uncle is restoring the body of the car.

@hambone9119 I learnt to drive in a 3onthetree HQ 202 Kingswood. It's a good place to start ;-D

@visualtonic im 23 and prefer driving A manual i drive a 3 speed column Panal Van i figured if i can drive this i can drive any thing and i have more control over the car and its speed.

great car man. imma Mustang fan so that is my big bro at his best. FORD's new mustang is kicking ass too. Stick shift only. . . I would say no girl cars here. but my big sister can get second and third just as well as me... She is good

I know auto trans is more confortable for the city and traffic, but MT is the only choice for muscle cars, you aint having that fun with auto trans!, plus i think it makes the car is much more "driveable" if such word exists, with more options to drive arround... ps: i own an old 74 gtx (argentine model) with a 318 sb and some upgrades and a 833 4 spd, it makes me happy by only starting the engine =) cheers

It wasn't expensive as a wheel and tire upgrade.. I got the transmission, bell housing, fork, cover, and that center plate from a Mustang wrecking yard in Miami. The cable linkage is from "Modern Driveline." Modern Driveline is not the greatest company, clutch cable kit, $250, the actual clutch and pressure plate. The shifter stick, $150, the pedals on ebay, $150 from an old Falcon.

eh wtf which year was the shift produced looks like years of 70's

The shift lever is a Hurst. Basically it's just a piece of metal and a shift ball. Hurst made millions, no billions of them and everyone wanted one on their Hot Rod. But, this car was an Automatic, I put in a 1992 five speed Mustang transmission which made it so much funner :)

This is one sweet Falcon! I'm a Chrysler man, but as i get older I've really come to appreciate all american cars. They don't build cars like this any more. I really like cars with "3 peadals". I have a 1970 Plymouth Road runner 440 6 barrel w/ 4 speed trans in progress.Sure takes a lot of money.

Yea, it takes money, time and some creativity, but it's worth it. I had a 1966 Charger 440 4 speed and it really moved out.
