Diese Interpretation ist wirklich sehr eindrucksvoll. Technisch spielt das Orchester auf einem sehr viel höheren Niveau als das Bayerische Staatsorchester unter Carlos Kleiber. Die Version von Kleiber gefällt mir dennoch einen Tick besser, weil Skou-Larsen das zweite Thema im Charakter zu wenig vom Anfang abhebt. Es sollte romantischer klingen, mit mehr Sostenuto, die Überbetonung der unruhigen Celli stört hier. Dennoch: eine wunderbare Darstellung!

I find this interpretation very interesting. And no Carlos Kleiber's interpretation is not the best one ther is of this piece. I can name many more interesting interpretations. I'm doing a compiling right now of what's on You Tube, and I find lots of interesting stuff to date in Pletnev, Furtwangler and Toscanini, compared to which Kleiber pales a bit (which is not the case for many of his interpretations of other pieces).

I'm sorry but there is something missing in this interpretation, i really prefer the Kleiber version. Larsen doesn't miss a note but this music is much more extreme...

this performance is much better than the ones from great well known conductors and orchestras. Tempo coudln't be better, and every detail is respected. Congrats.
