why do they have to change bus routes? Such a reliable cross town one was the 159. When we lived near West Hampstead it was always a real comfort to hop on the 159...things will never be the same. Farewell 159. Love those old style double deckers.
Well what can one say....yet again the country has let something go that worked well and made Britain stand out!!!!!! now we are just one of the rest... Routemasters will live on....
One has to be glad that Red Ken is no longer running the Capital, lets hope that Boris brings back the Routemaster, a bus designed for London and an icon of British Engineering. Whats next to go could it be Big Ben !!
This comment is for TheBinman40612. I did not know the RTW'S left LT service in the 1960's. I do know though that Go-Ahead Northern, a bus company here in the north east, bought them and started putting them in to service.
