Titan is a one-eyed black gaited gelding, 15.1 hh, about 18 years old. Tennessee Walking Horse, no papers. He hasn't been worked much in months due to my recent knee surgery, and is a bit of a hothead anyway.
I welcome any comments and/or guesses as to what gait(s) he is doing in each clip, as he's got at least six of them! I usually do not ride in a snaffle or with the martingale, so we have more than a couple communication issues throughout. Regardless, he is NOT for sale. _
Accompanying music from various random clips on my playlist, added for non-commercial entertainment purposes only; mostly to cover up the wind noise and comments from the reluctant videographer. ;) _

I think the reins might look loose because they are going down and through a 10-ring martingale then back up to my hands ... I had fairly firm contact or we'd have been galloping!
But I agree on the rack, it isn't his smoothest gait and he was being a bit of a dork and trying to ignore my gentle attempts to bring his nose in. He likes back-and-forth work about as much as rail work (not at all) ... wants to go *somewhere*!
I am no expert but I will give it a go. I thought at first he was step pacing but then noticed that as he picked up speed his head was rigid and you had a little leg jiggle going on. You also fell into a chair seat, all signs of a rack. He sure seems to want to move! Maybe try a little more contact with his mouth. You are ridding on a very loos reign and he may be falling apart on you. You will not ruin his mouth as long as you work the bit and do not just pull back with constant pressure.
