An overview of Mars500. A crew of six -- 2 Europeans, 3 Russians and 1 Chinese - are spending 520 days in a 'spacecraft' in Moscow, simulating the conditions of a real mission to Mars. The experiment is organised by the Russian Institute of Biomedical Problems and the European Space Agency.

  • Man all they have to do is recruit computer techs like me, living in solitude is status-quo for us :D (j/k)

  • it is a step in the right direction, but you can only conclude that many things from it with the lack of zero-g. that factor alone as a huge influence on the mind and body.

  • The Project.

  • give me a computer and ill live alone for life

  • @playgrrrr Agreed, another big factor is the fact that they're not surrounded by a vacuum. Also should anything go wrong, help is literally a minute away... not 200 days away. This is obviously more a testing of isolationism and cabin fever, but these others factors would certainly influence that.
