worst thing with the 73 chevy 350s was they had soft camshafts and the lobes would round of causing it to backfire through the carb.Had a 73 Impala,loved it and cant find a decent one now....I think James Bond totaled them all on Live and Let Die

200 bucks

Ahh, the best shapes of Impalas, what the 1973 has. Even if it is a group of rust, it looks a very great car.
-
LOL. Only in New York. All that jagged metal would never pass the annual safety inspection here, 2 states away... still, I'm happy to hear that someone is going to restore it! The 73's were one of the best Impalas they made!

The rear wheel wells are what worries you. The body like this you'd might fall through the undercarriage.

@sjnallie1982 Yea it was big inside, very roomy. The trunk was also roomy. I used to put in my 100watt fender Bassman amplifier in the trunk of that car. You didn't have to have folding down back seats. Cars were big and solid in those days.
Did you ever sell her or keep her. Is she being restored. Let me know when you have a chance

@old66impala
I sold her with a sad moment but was happy at the same time because someone from brooklyn was going to restore her. I had many offers from junkies to use the car metal scrap but the car was such a great machine. It was not worthy of such a death. Any old car that was reliable should never end up in the junkyard. This car ran well till the very end.

@coololds85 I also had a 1968 chevy and went on the road with it for 3 months travelling from NY to Florida. Stayed at all the KOA'S (campsites of America) this was back in 1974 when gas was .50 cents a gallon and camping was $3.00 a night. What an amazing experience. Me and a friend who just got out of the Navy hit the road with my Chevy and just travelled every where on route 1 and 9 south.
That 68 chevy gave me such wonderful memories.

I love the car just the way it is. Perfect East Coast car. A testament to old American cars and how durable they were.

Your right they don't make them like they used to. If they did the american auto companies would not be needing any money. Greed is the word. They make it so that it breaks down quicker.
