I'm 33, and the closest I got was Plant/Page in June of 1998. One of the best days of my life, but I would have given anything to see them in the 1970's. I feel you pain, man.

yes, it was right before their appearrance on danish tv. stephen davis cites this in his zeppelin biography 'hammer of the gods' and jimmy page himself speaks of this in an interview i have seen--its posted on youtube somewhere, but i cant remember the exact title. however, the actual performance on danish television is widely available on youtube.

Better. I have a three cd set of all their shows from 1980 tour. Apparently, Page kicked heroin at the time and he was more consistent than I'd ever heard him live. I guess when Bonzo died, he flew right back into addiction.

yeah it is a shame, how jimmy page deterioated in his later performances, saying that their last european tour in 1980 was fucking orgasmic, and in my opinion just as good as the early led zep perhaps better.
