@rickyd0821 John Wayne was a movie star, but a horrible actor. In many films it feels like he's reading his lines directly from a que card. This version of True Grit had better actors and was shot better. The original was shot like a made for tv movie.

I dont know how you can get any better than John Wayne, Glenn Campbell, and Robert Duvall. I doubt this will be better than the orignal, though it may spawn interest.
