  • Absolutely, it would save licence money to make half decent programmes when people are watching. Plus with the BBC iPlayer, is there any point no in having a 24hr scheduled service?

You made this mock closedown sequence look really up-to-date. Well done!

  • Good, although I suspect the real BBC would spell "tomorrow" right !

  • saxondale!!!

  • This is the theme to a programe on itv called Don`t Ask Me with dr mirriam stoppard and Magnus Pike and someone else

  • To make it truly authentic, you'd have the, 'late night weather', and a public information film before the clock and the contnuity announcer telling you the time, what was presently on the national BBC radio stations, 'from all of us here on BBC1, this is (insert continuity announcers name), wishing you a good night. Goodight.' Then, the BBC globe and the national anthem. But then, they no longer have a globe, or bother with the national anthem, do they? Test Card J is a nice touch.

  • That first track on the testcard was used on the ITV series Where There's Life!

  • @simonjcourt

LOL. I know how you feel.

  • I remember when I used to think of that girl as being older than me!!! God thats scary!

  • Looks about as abrupt as the close-downs of ABC2 and ABC3 here in Australia

  • Focus, not Tull. It says so in the description!

Though I could see how it might be confusing!

  • With all due respect, this is an amazing mock up, but BBC1 does broadcast in widescreen [as the ident shows] therefore wouldn't Testcard W would be used?
