  • if i am not mistaken his distortion comes from a big muff pedal on this song and uses some delay. if you uses the electric mistress on this solo I am not sure.

  • I just used an Overdrive OVR 5 pedal not the electric mistress with some slight chorus! Certainly the Big Muff is the most suitable overdrive for this solo!

  • the big muff is a great pedal to have in an arsenal but i like the pedal you use too.

  • i would have to say based on tabs I've read, you played that no less than perfect. Now for someone to solve the mystery that is David Gilmour's choice of distortion.

  • Thx very much :)I don't really think it's that perfect! And yeah you're right! Gilmour has built a very personal and quickly recognizable sound! You may find out some hints at gilmourish dot com about the gear and settings he used for each of PF albums.
