  • Darlene Love has been the best female singer of her era for at least the last 20 years. Her voice has aged far better than any of her '60s contemporaries.

  • Saw Darlene at the Bergen PAC last month and her show was amazing. This women is pushing 70 and performs and sings better then most 25 year olds. What an inspiration.

  • Was the sax player Bruce from Letterman's band?

  • @bustergoldenrod You 100% right even in her prime Tina can't sing with this much power , range or emotion!

  • You go Darlene!

  • Awesome totally awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow...she still sounds amazing!!!

  • Call me a stickler, and I love Darlene but I don't understand why she always performs this song live. La La Brooks is the lead vocalist who recorded it. When you see La La perform live she doesn't perform He's a Rebel or He's Sure The Boy I Love, so I feel Darlene probably shouldn't be doing this song, or, if she does, at least announce on stage as a curteousy that La La is the vocalist who recorded it. When La La sings Be My Baby, she always credits Ronnie as the lead vocalist. It's only fair.
